Meet Georgia & Her Team:

I have spent the last 30 years balancing my business career with motherhood. Most of my professional life was focused in corporate America. Started out at IBM, then moved on to developing plans for the digital imaging market at Kodak. I left Kodak to manage a startup digital business for a national conglomerate out of New York city. Took that business through a successful IPO and eventually sold the imaging software side to FujiFilm, where I stayed to help Fuji navigate through the challenging consumer film to digital transition.

I’m old enough to join AARP, and that’s as far as I’ll go on that subject.

Throughout almost the last 20 years, my husband (the technologist) has been my business partner, best friend, confidant, and soul mate. We recently opted out of the corporate world and now are free to spend our winters at our beach house on an idyllic, gulf coast barrier island in Florida. We head north during the summer months to a quiet island cottage on the St. Lawrence River. Guess we’re just laid back island people! Together we have 3 sons, 3 daughters, and 3 granddaughters.

Even though we’re out of the full time corporate world we still live a rather hectic lifestyle; we’ve made time to do some crazy things in the past few years… a cattle drive and fly fishing in Montana, white water rafting on the Snake River in Idaho, and time at a cowgirl camp in Arizona. Added a tattoo to my accomplishments on a 50th birthday girl’s only getaway. I confess that was even more painful than delivering the 3 boys!

I am from a big extended Greek family and was raised in the restaurant business, working side by side with my mother, aunts, uncles and cousins. From an early age I learned the importance of family, how good ethnic food feeds the soul and how caring and compassion for others is selfless. Basic life skills that laid the foundation for just about everything else that was to come in my life.

As you can tell, most of my professional career was focused not on what “was”, but on what “would or could be.” Jumping to the next wave by predicting how evolving technologies would combine with consumer need to create exciting business opportunities. Conventional film to digital was a wild ride that lasted for almost 15 years. Now I am excited about the terrific opportunities in the confluence of social media and a connected world. It will change everything…again…and I wouldn’t miss it for the world!
